Lasagne Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
- 1 (15 oz) container ricotta cheese
- 1 large egg
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
- 12 lasagna noodles (cooked and drained)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, brown the beef with onion and garlic. Drain fat.
- Add marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta, egg, and ¼ cup parmesan.
- Spread a thin layer of sauce in the bottom of a baking dish.
- Layer noodles, ricotta mixture, meat sauce, and mozzarella. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
- Finish with a layer of sauce and cheese on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes until bubbly.
- Let rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing.
